Married Mary and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. After the war, Swede ran a feed distribution warehouse. Family and friends call him “Chig”. Nearly everyone in his hometown of Chanute, Kansas knows Chig as one of the friendliest and biggest characters in town. Everyone knows and loves Chig.
Passed away August 31st, 2006 in Sun City Center, Florida. He is survived by wife Betty, four children: Bill Jr., Doug, Bonnie and Betsy; and eight grandchildren.
Completed degree in aero engineering at University of Minnesota and went to work for NWA and then Boeing. Later, founded distributorship in Seattle for AvGas/Jet Fuel filters. Sold company in 1985 and retired in Kent, WA. He and his wife Sherry have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Went home to his ranch in Hollister, CA, and never left. Happily married to his high school sweetheart, Velma, after waiting 50 years to propose.
Met his wife, Hannah, while attending NYU. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary 8/26/00. They have 4 children (Brenda, Jay, Craig, Scott) and 7 grandchildren (Rachel, Adam, Jason, Tori, Todd, Cory, Julie). They spend their winters in Delray Beach, FL, and the rest of the year in Cranbury, NJ.
